Earlier this summer I had the pleasure of launching a very exciting project. After several weeks of collaboration, the website gallery of Susan Dahlin Bashford was launched.
I first met Susan just after moving to the mountains. She was half of the 2-lady team behind SweeTea, a project I launched a year and a half ago.
Several months ago Susan contacted me to work with me again on her personal project: a portfolio website and shop for her artwork.
Susan's artwork has become iconic around North Carolina. She has exhibits in many of the local galleries, including my favorite gallery a few blocks from here. Every time we visit that gallery during the monthly gallery crawls I can always count on seeing a gaggle of folks hovering around Susan's exhibit.
Her work is really amazing.
So, when Susan contacted me to help her out with her new site, I jumped on the chance.
For Susan's site, we chose - as per my usual style - to keep with something very simple in order to let her amazing artwork really be the center of attention. We carefully chose a color palette to act as an anchor that we utilized in the navigation, and kept the rest of the site as clean as possible.
We also incorporated a blog into her site, where Susan has begun sharing little stories about some of her work.
Working with Susan again was a pleasure, and I really love the results. Check out Susan Dahlin Bashford website. >>
On my to-do list now: attending one of her painting classes before we leave the mountains. I want to paint a pig, too.
